Job summary

SBM Offshore N.V. in Malaysia seeks a Senior Project Engineer to lead the delivery of complex oil and gas projects. You will oversee multi-disciplinary teams, manage budgets and schedules, and ensure technical excellence across the project lifecycle.

You bring a minimum of 10 years in project engineering, strong leadership, and proven ability to coordinate engineering, procurement and construction activities while maintaining client and regulator communications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent.
• 10+ years of experience in oil and gas project engineering.
• Strong leadership, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Experience coordinating across engineering, procurement and construction; client liaison.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of project plans, schedules and budgets.
• Coordinate engineering, procurement and construction teams.
• Perform risk assessments and feasibility studies.
• Monitor progress and implement corrective actions.
• Review technical documentation for standards and safety.
• Mentor junior engineers and drive technical excellence.
• Liaise with clients, contractors and regulators.
