Job summary

Thomson Hospital Kota Damansara is seeking an Officer for the International Patient Centre who can communicate in Khmer and English. You will manage inquiries through walk-in, phone, email and other channels, and translate documents as needed.

You will assist Cambodian patients at registration, discharge, and with medical visas, transportation, and Meet & Greet services, coordinating with departments to meet individual needs while maintaining patient records and a high standard of service.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor Degree in Nursing (or other relevant fields).
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal).
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Proficient PC literacy, especially MS Excel & Word.

Responsibilities

Officer, International Patient Centre (Khmer Speaker)

To manage & assist inquiries through walk-in, phone call, email and other channels.

To translate documents in English & Khmer.

To serve as interpreter, especially Cambodia patients, at clinical & non-clinical areas.

To make arrangement with various internal departments according to patients’ needs and specific request, including Business Office, Allied Health, Imaging, Hospitality Services, Nursing, Medical Record Department, Emergency Departments & Consultants.

To assist patients during registration, administration and discharge procedures.

To provide assistance and support to patients throughout their treatments in hospital, including medical visa application, transportation request, Meet & Greet Services, liaising on guarantee letter arrangements & ambulance transfer.

Time permitting, visiting in-patient international patients on daily basis to ensure all their needs are met.

To maintain patient records and all points of communication.

To maintain good relationships and network with referral agents.

To prepare payment requisition to referral agents.

To provided consistent excellent service to all patients and customers (customers both internal and external).

JOB REQUIREMENT

Diploma / Bachelor Degree in Nursing (or other relevant fields)

Minimum 2 years relevant experience in the medical field, preferably in customer service.

Excellent interpersonal skills.

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Proven ability to work under pressure and within tight deadlines.

PC Literate, especially Microsoft Excel & Word
