Job summary

Maybank in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a results-driven Banking Specialist to acquire new-to-bank commercial Current Accounts and drive NTB deposit growth. You will hunt for NTB clients and deepen relationships with clients holding RM300K–RM1M in ADB, expanding the bank's commercial presence.

You will promote merchant signups for card services, cross-sell Work+, Merchant Services and Digital Banking solutions, and collaborate with CBCs and branches to onboard cash management solutions.

Qualifications

• Proven track record in acquiring NTB clients and driving business growth in banking or financial services.
• Experience in managing and growing deposit portfolios.
• Strong sales and negotiation skills with a proactive approach to business development.
• Excellent relationship-building and communication abilities.
• Deep understanding of deposit products and NTB client strategies.
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements and risk management.

Responsibilities

• Acquire new-to-bank commercial Current Accounts and drive NTB total deposit growth within the commercial segment.
• Hunt for NTB clients to expand the customer base.
• Manage relationships with commercial clients with ADB RM300K–RM1M to deepen engagement.
• Promote and facilitate new active merchant signups for card services.
• Increase share of wallet by cross-selling deposit products (Work+, Merchant services, Digital banking).
• Collaborate with CBCs and branches to onboard cash management solutions.
• Focus on attracting new FX customers and increasing M2E and M2U in the business segment.
• Implement salary crediting programs for individuals and corporate clients, including Work+ Company NOC.
