Job summary

Randstad Malaysia seeks a proactive procurement professional to lead localization, cost ownership, and NPI sourcing for a growing semiconductor plant in Johor. You will negotiate long-term supply agreements, research new vendors, and manage supplier relationships across metals, plastics, electronics, and chemicals.

You will oversee material flow and BOM releases in ERP/Agile systems, coordinate with QA and engineering to resolve quality issues, and monitor market trends to ensure supply

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree required or equivalent.
• Extensive purchasing or manufacturing experience, semiconductor background a plus.
• Proficiency with warehouse management systems and procurement tools.
• Strong negotiating and supplier management skills.
• Attention to detail for accurate documentation and audits.

Responsibilities

• Lead product localization, material cost ownership and NPI sourcing readiness to align with production ramps.
• Manage full cycle of strategic contract negotiations, pricing, terms and long-term supply agreements (LTSAs).
• Conduct market research and identify new vendors for cost-effective, high-quality sourcing across electronics, metals, plastics, mechanics and chemicals.
• Oversee material flow, supplier capacity and BOM releases through ERP and Agile systems to maintain inventory for manufacturing needs.
• Coordinate with QA, planning and engineering to resolve supplier quality issues and mitigate supply risks.
• Monitor global raw material trends and manage supplier relationships for pricing and supply continuity.
• Act autonomously to establish local procurement activities and build robust supply chain for a scaling Johor plant.
