Job summary

SFP Tech Holdings Berhad in Penang seeks a dedicated Manufacturing Process Engineer to drive readiness during NPI and production transitions. You will develop build docs, SOPs and ensure product configurations meet specifications while collaborating across engineering, operations and quality teams.

You will apply PFMEA, Control Plans and 4M1E in pilot builds, monitor FPY and cycle times, and lead continuous improvement initiatives to reduce waste and improve delivery performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Mechatronic, Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering.
• Minimum 2 years in equipment build, process engineering or system integration.
• Hands-on mechanical assembly, electrical wiring and system integration testing.
• Knowledge of PFMEA, Control Plans, 4M1E and Lean Manufacturing principles.
• Familiarity with NPI, pilot builds, manufacturing process validation and production readiness.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to analyse production data and drive continuous process improvements.
• Good communication, interpersonal and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Self-motivated, hands-on and able to work independently as well as in a team.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage priorities and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Review engineering drawings, BOMs and product specifications to ensure product and process readiness.
• Develop build documentation, SOPs and work instructions.
• Validate product configurations and manufacturing processes during pilot builds and NPI activities.
• Lead PFMEA, Control Plan and 4M1E readiness to minimise process risks and ensure smooth production transitions.
• Monitor and analyse production performance, including labour hours, FPY and cycle time.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives, including Kaizen and Lean Manufacturing, to enhance productivity and reduce waste.
• Identify, troubleshoot and resolve technical and process-related issues to minimise production disruptions.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure production readiness, process efficiency and on-time delivery.
