Job summary

Frencken Mechatronics (M) Sdn Bhd is seeking a capable mechanical/manufacturing engineer to support New Product Introduction (NPI) and precision engineering initiatives. You will lead NPI activities from First Article to part qualification and review customer drawings, specs, and BOMs.

You will also develop process routing, design jigs and fixtures, monitor timelines, and coordinate with Production to ensure a smooth transition from FA to mass production, while driving continuous improvement

Qualifications

Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent.
Minimum 3 years of experience in machining or precision engineering.
Able to interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and BOMs.
Knowledge of jig and fixture design.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Good communication, teamwork and organizational skills.
Proactive, independent, and able to meet deadlines with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

Lead NPI activities from First Article (FA) to fabrication part qualification.
Review customer engineering drawings, specifications, and product requirements.
Develop process routing and BOM for new products.
Monitor project timelines and coordinate NPI progress.
Design jigs and fixtures to support manufacturing and assembly processes.
Coordinate with Production to ensure smooth transition from FA to mass production.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives with cross-functional teams.
