Ferummas Precision Engineering (M) Sdn Bhd in Malaysia's Penang region is seeking a hands-on NPI engineer. You will work with Engineering, Tooling, Production and QA/Metrology to develop, validate and transfer new products into mass production.

Key tasks include reviewing drawings and GD&T, feasibility studies, tooling coordination, FAI/PPAP, dimensional inspection with CMM/VMM, and driving corrective actions while maintaining close communication with customers and supporting audits.

Qualifications

• End-to-end NPI experience from requirement to production.
• Experience in metal stamping, sheet metal, CNC machining or precision manufacturing.
• Hands-on dimensional inspection and GD&T knowledge.
• Strong communication with customers on technical clarifications and samples.
• Coordinate multiple functions and drive corrective actions in NPI projects.
• Degree in Mechanical/Manufacturing/Industrial/Mechatronics engineering.
• 1–3+ years in NPI/manufacturing/industrialization.

Responsabilités

• Review customer drawings, GD&T and product requirements.
• Assess manufacturing feasibility and risk.
• Coordinate tooling, process development, trials and pilot runs.
• Coordinate FAI/PPAP and inspection reports.
• Work with QA/Metrology on CMM/VMM and inspection criteria.
• Analyse issues and drive corrective actions.
• Communicate with customers on technical matters and samples.
• Support audits and product reviews.
• Ensure smooth handover from NPI to production and first shipment.
