Job summary

MFG Technology Sdn. Bhd. in Malaysia seeks an experienced NPI/Process Engineer to lead new product introductions from prototype through pilot runs to mass production.

You will collaborate with R&D, Production, Quality and other engineering teams to optimize manufacturing processes, develop work instructions, and ensure on-time product transfers while maintaining quality and cost targets.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in NPI, process engineering or manufacturing engineering.
• Strong experience in New Product Introduction (NPI), pilot run and production transfer.
• Good understanding of manufacturing processes, tooling and production equipment.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience in connector/semiconductor manufacturing and knowledge are advantages.

Responsibilities

• Lead NPI activities from prototype development through pilot run and mass production.
• Review product specifications, drawings and manufacturing requirements to ensure production readiness.
• Develop and optimize manufacturing processes, work instructions and production parameters.
• Coordinate with R&D, Production, Quality, Project and other engineering teams during NPI activities.
• Lead pilot production, process validation, trial runs and product qualification.
• Identify and resolve product, process, tooling and equipment issues during NPI.
• Drive Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and process improvement activities.
• Establish and optimize production processes to achieve quality, cost and productivity targets.
• Prepare NPI documentation, reports and engineering records.
• Monitor NPI progress and ensure timely completion according to project schedule.
• Support smooth transfer of new products from NPI to mass production.
