Job summary

IOT Manufacturing Sdn Bhd is seeking a proactive NPI Engineer to support upcoming New Product Introduction projects. You will collaborate with the Program Manager and cross-functional teams to ensure smooth execution and timely transfer to mass production.

Ideal candidates have 3–4 years in Program Engineering, NPI or similar roles, frontline manufacturing experience, hands-on use of ERP/MRP systems, and strong BOM/ECN/PPAP knowledge to drive 4M change management and trial builds.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3-4 years of experience in Program Engineering or NPI.
• Manufacturing environment experience strongly preferred.
• Hands-on experience with ERP/MRP systems and project tracking tools (e.g., Oracle).
• Strong understanding of BOM, ECN, PPAP and 4M change management.
• Excellent cross-functional coordination and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and support all NPI activities including BOM setup and schedule alignment.
• Manage ECNs from initiation through full implementation with 4M readiness.
• Lead follow-up and closure of NPI issues during trial builds for line readiness.
• Prepare PPAP documentation accurately for new product introductions.
• Partner with Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain and Quality teams to drive delivery.

Job description

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented NPI Engineer to support our upcoming New Product Introduction (NPI) projects currently in the pipeline. In this role, you will work closely with the Program Manager and cross-functional teams to ensure the smooth execution of new product introductions and a timely transition into mass production.

Key responsibilities

Coordinate and support all NPI activities, including Bill of Materials (BOM) setup, alignment with functional teams, and monitoring project timelines, risks, and deliverables to meet customer and business requirements.

Manage and execute Engineering Change Notices (ECN) from initiation through full implementation, ensuring 4M readiness and alignment for both internal and external stakeholders.

Lead the follow-up and closure of NPI issues during trial builds to ensure line readiness for mass production.

Prepare, manage, and submit Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) documentation accurately.

Partner closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Quality teams to drive project delivery.

Utilize internal systems and applications (e.g., Oracle) for project tracking, documentation, and coordination.

About you

Minimum 3-4 years of relevant experience in Program Engineering, Project Engineering, NPI, or a similar role.

Work experience in a manufacturing environment is strongly preferred.

Hands-on experience using ERP/MRP systems and project tracking tools (e.g., Oracle) is a major plus.

Strong understanding of BOM structure, ECN processes, PPAP, 4M change management, and trial build workflows.

Excellent cross-functional coordination, problem-solving abilities, and strong communication skills.
