Job summary

Agensi Pekerjaan Minde Group Sdn Bhd is seeking a Project Manager for New Product Introductions (NPI) to oversee prototypes through customer approval. The role requires collaboration with Engineering, Quality, and Procurement to ensure smooth launches and robust technical handling of data packages and BOM reviews.

The candidate will provide labor and NRE cost quotes to customers, support production during safe launch periods, and lead ECO/PR initiation for NPI projects, including scale-up,

Qualifications

• Proven experience in project management, especially for New Product Introduction (NPI) or similar product launches.
• Basic understanding of engineering data packages, BOM, and quality documentation standards.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for coordinating with vendors, internal teams, and customers.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple New Product Introductions (NPI) from prototype to customer approval.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Engineering, Quality, Procurement) for new product launches.
• Assist to oversee technical management, including customer data package and BOM review.
• Provide labor cost and NRE cost quotes to customers.
• Support production activities during safe launch period for new products.
• Manage and facilitate internal and vendor technical discussions.
• Supervise teams to ensure compliance with customer requirements.
• Initiate ECOs and PRs for NPI and engineering projects.
• Assist with scale-up activities, troubleshooting, and process optimization.
• Coordinate with vendors for new equipment, tooling, fixtures, and jigs.
• Validate and buy off new machines or fixtures.
• Collaborate on customer complaints and root cause analysis.
• Conduct training for production teams on new process implementations.

Requirement:

• Bachelors degree in Engineering or a related technical field
• Proven experience in project management, specifically in New Product Introduction (NPI) or similar product launch environments
• Basic technical understanding of engineering data packages, Bill of Materials (BOM), and quality documentation standards (Work Instructions, PFMEA, Control Plans)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for coordinating with vendors, internal teams, and customers
