Job summary

Jora Malaysia in Johor Bahru is seeking a proactive Infrastructure & Network Operations Center (NOC) Engineer to monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot our network infrastructure. The role operates a modern 12-hour shift roster offering three consecutive days off per cycle for a balanced work life.

Requirements include a Diploma/Degree in a related field and 2–5 years in a 24/7 technical operations environment such as NOC or TAC, with hands-on Cisco/Juniper experience and solid NMS skills.

Qualifications

• Diploma/Degree in Telecommunication/Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related technical field.
• 2-5 years of experience in a 24/7 technical operations environment such as a NOC, a data centre control room, or a TAC.
• Demonstrable experience in at least one of: Telecommunications (Fiber Optics, DWDM/OTN, IP/MPLS routing) or Critical Facilities (UPS, generators, HVAC) with willingness to learn the other.
• Strong networking fundamentals including IP addressing, VLANs, routing and switching.
• Hands-on exposure to Cisco, Juniper routing and switching technologies.
• Experience using professional network monitoring systems (NMS) and ticketing systems.

Responsibilities

• Monitor network systems, servers and applications using NOC tools and dashboards.
• Support data centre network infrastructure across routing and switching platforms for high availability and performance.
• Act as primary contact for network incidents; manage incidents per SLAs.
• Respond to alerts, incidents, and outages promptly.
• Perform initial troubleshooting and escalate to relevant teams as needed.
• Escalate and collaborate with cross functional teams and vendors to restore services.
• Maintain accurate incident/resolution/network changes documentation.
• Conduct routine operational checks and preventive maintenance on network infrastructure.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, security standards, and SLA requirements.
• Provide support during scheduled maintenance, upgrades, and deployments.
