Job summary

Qualifications

• A diploma or degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline is often required.
• Experience in a NOC or data centre environment is beneficial, with a minimum of 3 years being common for some roles.
• Familiarity with network hardware such as routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers.
• Understanding of network security principles and practices.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting network issues and conducting root cause analysis.
• 24/7 operational environment, including on-call rotations.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and manage critical facility systems such as power (generators), cooling (HVAC), and fire suppression.
• Ensure uptime and availability of all facility-related services.
• Conduct eyes on glass for facility equipment alarms.
• Perform alarm analysis and propose changes to reduce alarms.
• Monitor network performance, analyze logs, and respond to alerts and incidents.
• Incident management: record, escalate, and resolve network incidents.
• Collaborate with engineering, system admins, and vendors to resolve issues.
• Maintain network documentation and SOPs.
• Document changes, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions.
