Job summary

Saraya Goodmaid in Malaysia is seeking a qualified scientist to contribute to new product development across detergents, cosmetics, and related sciences. The role covers formulation evaluation, testing, stability studies and pilot trials from concept to commercialization.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and conduct market research to identify opportunities, while developing packaging solutions and ensuring regulatory compliance for successful product launches.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry, Biology, Pharmacy, or related Science disciplines.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant working experience in detergent, pharmaceutical, or cosmetic industries.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for stakeholder engagement.
• Dynamic, proactive, and results-oriented with analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

Participate in new product development activities, including formulation evaluation, product testing, stability studies, and pilot trials from concept to commercialization.

Liaise with cross-functional teams to facilitate project execution and ensure timely product launches.

Develop and enhance packaging solutions through the evaluation of packaging materials, specifications, and product compatibility.

Partner with packaging suppliers and internal stakeholders to drive packaging innovation, quality improvements, and cost optimization initiatives.

Coordinate with internal stakeholders for packaging testing, validation, performance assessments and ensure compliance with quality, regulatory, and market requirements.

Manage OEM development activities, including supplier evaluations, product trials, technical assessments, and validation programs.

Coordinate with OEM manufacturers and internal departments to ensure products meet quality, regulatory, and customer requirements.

Prepare project documentation, development reports, and technical records to support development and commercialization activities.

Perform any other duties and responsibilities as assigned by Management.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry, Biology, Pharmacy, or other related Science disciplines.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant working experience, preferably in the detergent, pharmaceutical, or cosmetic industry.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively engage and collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders.
