Job summary

GK Bio International Sdn Bhd is seeking an experienced Lead for Product Innovation & Development (nutraceuticals) in Malaysia to oversee end-to-end product development from concept to launch. You will guide the Product Innovation & Development team to deliver high-quality health supplement projects.

You will identify opportunities, translate insights into viable formulations, and collaborate with R&D, Regulatory, Marketing, Sales, and suppliers to ensure projects meet schedules and regulatory

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or above in Food Science, Nutrition, Pharmaceutical Science, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in product development, R&D, or nutraceuticals.
• Strong experience in developing nutraceutical/health supplement products.
• Experience in leading and managing a team.
• Strong understanding of market trends and consumer behaviour.
• Creative and innovative mindset for viable formulations.
• Knowledge of ingredients, formulations, and product positioning.
• Understanding of regulatory and product compliance requirements.
• Strong project management and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and cross-functionally.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the product development process from concept development, formulation, testing, sampling, packaging, and product launch.
• Lead and manage the Product Innovation & Development team (nutraceutical), ensuring projects are delivered effectively and on schedule.
• Develop innovative and market-relevant products across nutraceuticals, health supplements, traditional supplements, and functional supplements.
• Identify and evaluate new product opportunities, ingredients, technologies, and emerging health & wellness trends.
• Translate consumer needs and market insights into creative product concepts and commercially viable formulations.
• Work closely with R&D, Regulatory, Marketing, Sales, and suppliers throughout the product development process.
• Summarise market and competitor analysis to identify product gaps, trends, and opportunities.
• Manage multiple product development projects and ensure timely completion.
