Job summary

Win Smith Packaging is seeking a Product Development Coordinator in Malaysia to drive new product development from inquiry to mass production. You will review customer artwork, liaise with multiple departments, and plan trials while ensuring production readiness and documentation.

Applicants should have a relevant engineering or packaging Diploma/degree, experience in packaging or manufacturing, and strong coordination and communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required.

• Experience in packaging, printing, or manufacturing is an advantage.
• Strong coordination and communication across departments.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate new product development projects from inquiry until mass production stage.
• Review customer artwork, specifications, and requirements to ensure manufacturability.
• Liaise with Sales, Design, Production, QA/QC, Purchasing, and customers on product development activities.
• Plan and monitor product trials, sample production, and machine testing.
• Ensure all production documents, specifications, and work instructions are prepared before production launch.
• Coordinate engraving cylinder, tooling, and packaging material readiness for new products.
• Conduct production readiness checks to ensure materials, machines, manpower, and processes are available.
• Follow up on sample approvals and customer feedback for product improvements.
• Monitor project timelines and ensure on-time completion of development milestones.
• Support troubleshooting and continuous improvement activities during product launch.
• Maintain product development records, BOMs, specifications, and related documentation.
• Assist in cost evaluation and process optimization to improve productivity and quality.
• Ensure compliance with company quality standards, safety requirements, and customer specifications.
• Participate in cross-functional meetings to drive successful product commercialization.

• Able to work closely with multiple departments and manage timelines effectively.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
