Job summary

L'Oréal in Petaling Jaya, Malaysia, seeks a People Development & Learning Assistant Manager (MYSG & PH) in Human Resources. You will design, deploy, and lead local, zone, and group training initiatives, while coordinating logistics and communications for learning sessions.

You will partner with HRBPs and business leaders to identify skill gaps, support development plans, and manage key employee moments; handle LMS data accuracy and HRDF submissions, with a focus on impact and budget utilization.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in Human Resources, focusing on Learning & Development, Talent Management, or HRBP roles.
• Strong project management and organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent facilitation and communication abilities.
• Data-driven mindset with proficiency in analytics and reporting tools (Excel, PowerBI, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Learning & Development Program Execution: design, deployment, and facilitation of local, zone and Group training initiatives; coordinate logistics and feedback for learning sessions; support DEI initiatives.
• People Development & Performance Support: assist in managing people reviews and development plans; partner with HRBPs and leaders to identify skill gaps and propose learning solutions; coordinate key employee moments (CONNECT conversations, assessments).
• Driving Operational Excellence: ensure LMS data accuracy; own HRDF submissions and vendor setup; assist in budget utilization and learning analytics; monitor training completion rates.
• Onboarding & Employee Experience: enhance onboarding journey to align with L'Oréal culture and values (Welcome day, Essential and Discovery).

Position Overview

Key Responsibilities

Learning & Development Program Execution

• Support the design, deployment, and facilitation of local, Zone and Group’s training initiatives, business fundamentals, and leadership modules.
• Coordinate logistics, participant communications, and feedback collection for learning sessions.
• Support for Diversity, Equity & Inclusion initiatives:

People Development & Performance Support

• Assist in managing people reviews and supporting business on development plan.
• Partner with HR Business Partners (HRBPs) and Business Leaders to identify skill gaps and recommend appropriate people development and learning solutions.
• Support coordination and execution with Business Leaders, HRBPs & CA&E of key employee moments on people development: CONNECT Conversations, self and leadership assessments.

Driving Operational Excellence

• Ensure accurate data on Learning Management systems for employees training record.
• Take full ownership on administrative and operational execution of HRDF submissions, vendor creation for external training providers, in collaboration with business owners and support functions (i.e. Sourcing, Finance team).
• Assist in People Development and Learning budget utilization, analysis and control.
• Support analysis and facilitation of action planning for annual Employee Survey (PULSE)
• Monitor completion rates and analyze learning metrics to measure program effectiveness.

Onboarding & Employee Experience

• Enhance the onboarding journey for new joiners, ensuring a smooth integration into L'Oréal's culture and values via execution new joiner’s onboarding journey (Welcome day, Essential and Discovery)

Profile & Qualifications

• Experience:3–5 years of experience in Human Resources, specifically within Learning & Development, Talent Management, or HR Business Partnering (ideally within FMCG, retail, or multinational environments).
• Skills:
• Strong project management and organizational skills (with attention to details)
• Excellent facilitation and communication skills
• Data-driven mindset with proficiency in analytics and reporting tools (Must have proficiency: Excel, PowerBI, Powerpoint)
