Job summary

Businesslist in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a Customs Compliance Specialist to manage import and export clearance activities and ensure regulatory compliance. You will prepare and review declarations, coordinate with brokers and internal teams, and verify tariff classifications, values, duties, and origin to keep shipments moving smoothly.

The Successful Applicant

• Degree: Candidates at all levels should ideally have a relevant degree, such as Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, International Trade, or a related field.
• SAP experience: Good working knowledge of SAP is important, particularly experience with relevant transactions and processes.
• Junior level: Strong foundation, willingness to learn, and some exposure to customs/logistics processes.
• Mid level: Relevant experience in customs operations, SAP, documentation, and handling clearance issues independently.
• Senior level: Strong customs knowledge, SAP expertise, stakeholder management, compliance experience, and ability to handle complex issues and escalations.
• Leadership level: Experience managing customs operations/teams, driving compliance, improving processes, and managing key stakeholders.
