Job summary

Private Advertiser is seeking a Customer Service Representative for an 8-month contract in Kuala Lumpur, Bangsar South. You will handle inquiries via phone, email, and walk-ins, process orders and applications, and resolve issues while building lasting customer relationships.

The role requires English, Bahasa and Mandarin proficiency and a customer-first mindset, with on-site hours and alternate Saturdays from home. Work-life includes Monday to Friday, 11:00 a.m.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of customer service experience.
• Fluent in English; Bahasa and Mandarin proficiency required to support Mandarin-speaking customers.
• Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills with a customer-focused mindset.
• Able to remain composed in a fast-paced environment.
• Good multitasking, time management and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Respond professionally to customer inquiries via phone, email, walk-in and other channels.
• Follow up on customer requests, concerns and service-related matters.
• Process orders, applications and refund requests accurately.
• Explain company policies, products and services clearly.
• Build positive customer relationships through active listening and problem-solving.
• Assist customers with online platforms, mobile apps and basic technical inquiries.
• Recommend appropriate products or solutions based on customer needs.
• Escalate complex or unresolved matters when required.
• Work towards agreed customer service and call centre performance standards.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of products and company updates.
