Job summary

SEMBOLNIA? SEMBONIA is a fast-growing leather-wear brand with 88 outlets across 10 countries, established in 1994. We seek a Sales & Operations Manager to lead retail operations, drive sales growth, optimise costs, and deliver outstanding customer experiences across stores.

You will manage Area Managers, implement strategic plans, monitor KPIs, and oversee stock, merchandising, and store openings. Proficiency in English, Bahasa Malaysia, and Mandarin is required; travel to outlets is expected.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Business Administration, Retail Management, Marketing, or related field.
• 8–10 years of retail operations experience, with at least 5 years in a managerial role.
• Proven experience managing multiple stores and Area Managers.
• Strong track record in achieving sales targets and improving store performance.
• Knowledge of retail KPIs, inventory management, labour costs, and profitability.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
• Fluent in English, Bahasa Malaysia, and Mandarin.
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel and familiar with retail POS/reporting systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement sales strategies, business plans, and initiatives to achieve company-wide and regional sales targets.
• Set clear sales targets and KPIs for stores; monitor performance and take corrective actions.
• Oversee daily operations; ensure SOPs, standards, and regulatory compliance.
• Monitor stock availability, inventory turnover, and stock takes; optimise inventory.
• Lead Area Managers and retail teams; conduct performance evaluations and development planning.
• Support store openings, relocations, renovations, and closures; ensure smooth execution.
