Agilent Technologies Inc. in Penang is seeking an NPI Lead / MSAT System Engineer to optimize design and manufacturing of mechanical and mechatronics assemblies, PCAs, modules, and complete products, acting as the technical liaison between R&D, Quality and Manufacturing.

You will drive technology transfer, platform standardization, and industrialization, collaborating across cross-functional teams and leading prototypes ramp, validation, and launch readiness to enable scalable, high-performance

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
8+ years of experience in a comparable engineering role.
Strong English communication skills, both written and spoken.
Proven project management and organizational skills in cross-functional teams.
Solid understanding of complex technical systems and related development and manufacturing processes.
Experience with technical drawings and CAD tools.
Experience in PCBA design, manufacturing and qualification processes.
Knowledge of FMEA, DoE, DfX, VE or similar engineering methods is a plus.
Structured, goal-oriented, self-driven work style.
Ability to analyze complex technical challenges and develop practical solutions.
Excellent teamwork and international collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

Act as central Global Operations technical interface in NPI and coordinate stakeholders.
Lead transfer of new products from development into mass production.
Apply Design-for-Excellence (DfX) across cost, manufacturability, quality, and automation.
Collaborate with R&D on product development, validation, and manufacturability readiness.
Influence design for scalability, supply chain, and process robustness.
Define system-level manufacturing concepts, test strategies, and industrialization approach.
Lead prototype ramp, reliability validation, and launch readiness.
Lead root cause investigations and corrective actions for complex issues.
