Job summary

Agilent is seeking an NPI Lead / MSAT System Engineer for its Penang site. You will bridge R&D, Quality and Manufacturing to translate product innovation into scalable, high-performance Agilent products.

You will lead NPI activities, drive industrialization, and support platform standardization across spectroscopic and related products, ensuring robust, scalable manufacturing architecture.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in a comparable engineering role.
• Strong English communication skills, both written and spoken.
• Proven project management and organizational skills with cross-functional teams.
• Solid understanding of complex technical systems and manufacturing processes.
• Experience with technical drawings and CAD tools.
• Experience in PCBA design, manufacturing and qualification processes.
• Knowledge of FMEA, DoE, DfX, VE or similar methods is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead NPI and industrialization efforts, interfacing between manufacturing operations, R&D and business teams.
• Coordinate transfer of new products from development into mass production.
• Apply Design-for-Excellence (DfX) across cost, manufacturability, quality, and automation.
• Collaborate with R&D on product development, validation, and manufacturability readiness.
• Define system-level manufacturing concepts, test strategies, and industrialization approaches.
• Lead prototype ramp, reliability validation, and launch readiness.
• Act as Technical Owner for platform technology processes and drive cross-plant standardization.
