Job summary

Aveta Global Marketing Sdn Bhd is seeking an R&D Manager to lead motorcycle product evaluation, testing and improvement initiatives. The role collaborates with Product Development, Marketing, Production and Aftersales to ensure timely launches and ongoing enhancement of rides.

The ideal candidate has a Diploma/ Degree, a B2 motorcycle licence, and at least 5 years’ experience, including 2 years in related roles, with strong analytical and leadership skills in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in a relevant field is required.
• Possession of B2 or B motorcycle licence is required.
• Minimum 5 years of overall working experience.
• Minimum 2 years of related working experience.
• Strong knowledge and interest in motorcycle technical aspects and design trends.
• Proven ability to deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into insights.
• Good task and manpower management skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Able to communicate in English and Bahasa Malaysia.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage R&D activities related to motorcycle product evaluation and testing, ensuring targets are achieved according to the scheduled plan.
• Conduct and oversee technical evaluations covering performance, endurance, handling, serviceability, ergonomics and wiring routing.
• Evaluate motorcycle products from technical and rider perspectives, including performance and design trends.
• Liaise with overseas suppliers and partners to develop, follow up and improve product implementation until successful launch and mass production.
• Work closely with Product Development, Marketing, Production and Aftersales to ensure effective product development and implementation.
• Identify product or technical issues and carry out problem analysis to determine corrective actions.
• Manage negotiation, product specifications and technical requirements with internal and external parties.
• Maintain proper test records, evaluation reports, technical documentation and product development records.
• Monitor product progress and ensure effective tracking and follow-up of R&D activities.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives for R&D processes and SOPs.
