Job summary

Hong Leong Bank Berhad is seeking a Mortgage Credit Analyst to evaluate and approve mortgage applications, assess creditworthiness, and ensure timely processing. The role includes detecting fraudulent documents and escalating suspicious activity to the Fraud Management Unit.

The ideal candidate will be a Malaysian citizen with a degree in Banking, Economics, Finance, Accountancy, Business Studies or equivalent, contributing to a digital-first banking approach across Malaysia and regional offices.

Responsibilities

• Perform credit evaluation, recommendations and approval for Mortgage applications
• Evaluate and recommend loans for approval beyond discretionary power
• Evaluate applicant's financial status, credit worthiness and risk before providing credit terms
• Ensure mortgage applications are processed within internal turnaround time
• Detect fraudulent applications, tampered/suspicious documents and escalate to Fraud Management Unit
