Job summary

Hong Leong Bank is seeking a Mortgage Credit Evaluation Manager to join our lending team in Malaysia. You will evaluate mortgage applications, assess borrower risk, and provide timely recommendations to support approvals and policy adherence.

You will review financial status, credit worthiness and potential fraud, ensuring processes meet turnaround targets and regulatory standards while maintaining a high level of due diligence and accuracy.

Qualifications

• Malaysian citizen.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a relevant field.
• Strong analytical and numerical skills with a focus on credit risk.

Responsibilities

• Perform credit evaluation, recommendations and approval for Mortgage applications.
• Evaluate and recommend loans for approval beyond discretionary power.
• Assess applicant's financial status, credit worthiness and risk before setting terms.
• Ensure mortgage applications are processed within internal turnaround times.
• Detect fraudulent applications and escalates suspicious documents to Fraud Management Unit.
