Job summary

Hong Leong Bank in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a Mortgage Credit Analyst to evaluate, recommend and approve mortgage applications. You will assess applicants’ financial status, creditworthiness and risk to determine suitable credit terms, while ensuring timely processing and fraud detection.

The role requires a degree in Banking, Economics, Finance, Accounting or Business Studies, and Malaysian citizenship. You will work within a team focused on risk management and customer service excellence across

Responsibilities

• Perform credit evaluation, recommendations and approval for Mortgage applications.
• Evaluate and recommend loans for approval beyond discretionary power.
• Evaluate applicant’s financial status, credit worthiness and risk before providing credit terms.
• Ensure mortgage applications are processed within internal turnaround time.
• Detect fraudulent applications, tampered/suspicious documents and ensure timely fraud escalation to the Fraud Management Unit.
