Job summary

OX Human Resources Consultancies seeks a Senior Accounts Executive to ensure accurate month-end closings and maintain group ledger integrity across entities in Malaysia. You will prepare and post journal entries, reconcile ledgers, and support audits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Accounting, Finance or related.
• Hands-on experience with month-end closing and general ledger accounting.
• Proficiency in Excel and ERP/accounting systems (Odoo preferred).
• Strong understanding of double-entry and accrual accounting.
• Good written and verbal English and Chinese communication.

Responsibilities

• Perform monthly, quarterly and year-end closing activities in accordance with timetable.
• Prepare and post month-end journal entries including accruals, prepayments, depreciation, amortisation and provisions.
• Maintain general ledger and ensure proper accounting period accuracy.
• Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations and investigate variances.
• Review and reconcile bank accounts, intercompany balances, AR, AP and other balance sheet accounts.
• Support external and internal audits with schedules and documentation.
• Assist with tax, statutory and regulatory reporting where required.
• Ensure records comply with company policies and accounting standards.
