SHB Malaysia Automotive Appliance Sdn. Bhd. is seeking a Mold Maintenance Technician to maintain and repair injection molds and die-casting molds.

Qualifications

• Minimum secondary technical education; Mold/Mechanical/Machining fields preferred.
• At least 3 years in injection mold or aluminium alloy die-casting mold maintenance and repair.
• Able to read mold assembly and component drawings.
• Hands-on experience in mold fitting, machining, welding, measurement tools.
• Basic Mandarin preferred; basic English an advantage; willing to support overtime and urgent mold repair.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, repair, inspection, cleaning, polishing, and adjustment of injection molds and aluminium alloy die-casting molds.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mold problems (flash, short shots, sticking, scratches, cracks, ejection issues).
• Carry out mold fitting, grinding, welding, machining, and component replacement to restore mold performance.
• Operate milling, grinding, drilling, and turning machines for mold repair and modifications.
• Support mold installation, trials, preventive maintenance, repair records, spare parts management, and 5S activities.

Job Responsibilities:

• Perform maintenance, repair, inspection, cleaning, polishing, and adjustment of injection molds and aluminium alloy die-casting molds.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mold problems such as flash, short shots, sticking, scratches, cracks, and ejection issues.
• Carry out mold fitting, grinding, welding, machining, and component replacement to restore mold performance and condition.
• Operate machining equipment such as milling, grinding, drilling, and turning machines for mold repair and component modification.
• Support mold installation, trial runs, preventive maintenance, repair records, spare parts management, and 5S activities.

Job Requirement:

• Minimum secondary technical education or equivalent; qualifications in Mold, Mechanical, Machining, or related fields are preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in injection mold or aluminium alloy die-casting mold maintenance and repair.
• Able to read mold assembly and component drawings and understand basic mold structures and functions.
• Hands-on experience in mold fitting, machining, welding, measurement tools, and troubleshooting of mold defects.
• Basic Mandarin communication ability is preferred; basic English is an advantage, with willingness to support overtime and urgent mold repair requirements.
