Job summary

IKD (MALAYSIA) SDN BHD is seeking a Mold Maintenance Technician to oversee mold inventory, maintenance, and safety in the workshop. The role involves coordinating mold preparation, transport, and replacement plans, plus ongoing improvement projects and scrapping cleanup.

The candidate should have a Diploma in mechanical design, manufacturing, and automation, with knowledge of die-casting molds, welding, and mechanical drawing.

Qualifications

• Diploma in mechanical design, manufacturing, and automation.
• Knowledge of die-casting, molds, welding, and mechanical drawing skills.
• Proficient in Chinese, English, and Malaysian; tri-lingual communication preferred.
• More than 1 year of experience repairing die-casting molds (fresh graduates may apply).
• Ability to repair and eliminate faults in conventional die-casting molds.
• Understand mold structure and independently solve complex production/maintenance problems.

Responsibilities

• Participate in mold acceptance and storage; manage mold inventory and ledgers.
• Support workshop production preparation and mold preparation; transport and plan mold replacement.
• Monitor mold cleaning, recycling, and post-maintenance; conduct monthly mold maintenance.
• Oversee daily warehouse management; enforce 5S, visualization, and safety in designated areas.
• Maintain spare molds; undertake daily mold maintenance and production of spare molds.
• Participate in mold improvement projects and implement changes per notices.
• Assist in scrapping mold cleanup and safety implementations.

Job description

Responsibility 1: Participate in mold acceptance and storage.

1) Responsible for managing the mold inventory of series products, including warehouses and ledgers, to ensure consistency between accounts and goods.

Responsibility 2: Support workshop production preparation (mold preparation).

1) Press the casting and mold replacement plan, be responsible for transporting the mold to the designated area, and provide timely feedback in case of any abnormalities.

2) Responsible for the recycling and maintenance of molds (pre mold inspection, post mold maintenance).

Responsibility 3: Responsible for the professional preservation of molds.

1) Responsible for executing the monthly maintenance plan for molds.

Responsibility 4: Responsible for the daily management of the warehouse.

2) Responsible for 5S, visualization, and safety management in designated areas of the warehouse.

3) Responsible for mold inventory management.

Responsibility 5: Responsible for the daily maintenance of molds.

1) Responsible for the daily maintenance of molds.

2) Responsible for the production of spare molds.

Responsibility 6: Participate in mold improvement projects.

1) According to the change notice, responsible for mold improvement work.

Conduct learning and assessment according to company requirements, and implement safety performance.

Job requirements

Diplomain mechanical design, manufacturing, and automation related majors;

Have knowledge of die-casting, molds, welding, and mechanical drawing skills;

Proficient in using Chinese, English, and Malaysian trilingual communication is preferred;

More than 1 year of experience in repairing die-casting molds(Excellent fresh graduates can apply);

Can repair and eliminate faults in conventional die-casting molds;

Understand the structure of molds and be able to independently solve various complex problems encountered during the production and maintenance of die-casting molds.
