CHEC CONSTRUCTION (M) SDN BHD is seeking an experienced Mobile Crane Operator to perform lifting and positioning tasks at construction sites in Malaysia. You will conduct pre-start inspections, follow lifting plans, and coordinate with riggers, signalmen and site supervisors to ensure safe, efficient crane operations.
The role requires 2–3 years of crane experience, a valid competency certificate or license, and the ability to work outdoors, including shifts and overtime as needed for projects.
Operate mobile cranes safely and efficiently at construction sites.
Carry out lifting and positioning of construction materials, equipment, steel structures, precast components and other loads.
Conduct daily pre-start inspection of the crane and report any defects or safety issues.
Follow approved lifting plans, method statements and site safety procedures.
Ensure the crane is properly positioned, levelled and set up before lifting operations.
Work closely with the lifting team, rigger, signalman and site supervisor during lifting activities.
Monitor load weight, lifting capacity, working radius and ground conditions.
Maintain proper care and cleanliness of the crane.
Record daily crane operation, inspection and maintenance activities.
Immediately report any equipment malfunction, unsafe condition or incident to the supervisor.
Perform other crane-related duties as assigned by management.
Minimum 2–3 years of experience operating mobile cranes in the construction industry.
Valid Mobile Crane Operator Competency Certificate / License recognised by the relevant Malaysian authority.
Able to operate mobile cranes safely according to the manufacturer's operating limits and site requirements.
Good understanding of lifting operations, load capacity, lifting radius and basic crane safety.
Able to communicate and work effectively with riggers, signalmen and site supervisors.
Physically fit and able to work at construction sites, including outdoor and shift work when required.
Responsible, safety-conscious and able to follow instructions.
Experience in infrastructure, bridge, piling, precast or heavy construction works will be an advantage.
Willing to work overtime, weekends or public holidays according to project requirements.
