Oriental Sunrise Engineering Sdn. Bhd is seeking a skilled Mobile Crane Operator to ensure safe, efficient lifting on our construction sites in Malaysia. You will operate, inspect, and maintain mobile cranes, follow approved lifting plans, and document daily inspections.
We value compliance with Malaysian regulations, strong teamwork, and a proactive safety mindset. Overtime, weekend work, and shifts may be required as projects demand.
The Mobile Crane Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of mobile cranes at the construction site. The employee shall operate, inspect, and maintain the assigned crane in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions, approved lifting procedures, site safety requirements, and applicable Malaysian laws and regulations.
Key responsibilities
Operate mobile cranes safely and efficiently for lifting, shifting, positioning, loading, and unloading materials and equipment
Operate the crane only within its rated capacity and approved operating parameters
Follow approved lifting plans, method statements, risk assessments, and lifting instructions
Ensure the crane is positioned on suitable and stable ground before commencing lifting operations
Conduct daily pre-start and visual inspections before operating the crane, checking wire ropes, hooks and safety latches, boom and boom extension, hydraulic systems, outriggers, brakes, tyres and wheels, safety devices and alarms, load moment indicator, lights, horn, and communication equipment
Confirm the load weight, lifting radius, boom configuration, and crane capacity before lifting
Maintain clear communication with the signalman and banksman
Ensure no unauthorized persons enter the lifting exclusion zone
Maintain safe clearance from buildings, structures, power lines, excavations, and other hazards
Complete daily crane inspection and operation records
About you
Valid and relevant crane operator competency and authorization as required under applicable Malaysian regulations
Appropriate DOSH/JKKP/CIDB-recognized certification or competency, where applicable
Minimum 2–3 years of experience operating mobile cranes is preferred
Experience with construction, infrastructure, heavy lifting, or industrial projects is an advantage
Good knowledge of crane operating procedures and lifting safety
Able to understand basic lifting signals and communicate effectively with the lifting team
Physically fit to perform the duties required
Responsible, disciplined, safety-conscious, and reliable
Willing to work overtime, weekends, public holidays, or shifts when required by the project
