Job summary

Jora Malaysia in Ipoh, Malaysia, seeks an experienced mobile crane operator to work on site. You will operate mobile cranes under supervision, perform basic inspections before tasks, and carry out routine maintenance while keeping a clean, safe work area.

The role requires at least 1 year of crane experience, valid GDL and E&H licenses, JKKP and CIDB cards, and the ability to work independently with a strong sense of responsibility. PPE compliance is essential.

Responsibilities

• Understand and operate mobile cranes competently under supervision.
• Perform basic crane inspections to ensure proper functionality before commencing tasks.
• Carry out routine basic maintenance on the crane.
• Support other yard/production activities as assigned by the supervisor.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area around the crane and lifting zone.
• Adhere strictly to PPE requirements and site safety rules at all times.
• Carry out routine basic maintenance and housekeeping of the crane (e.g. cleaning, lubrication, fluid level checks) as per maintenance schedules.
• Maintain accurate records of daily inspections, maintenance activities, and operating hours.
• Report major mechanical issues to the maintenance department for further servicing.
• Conduct basic pre-use inspections of the crane (e.g. hydraulic systems, cables, hooks, brakes, controls) to confirm proper functionality before commencing tasks.
• Identify and report any mechanical faults, wear, or safety concerns to the supervisor or maintenance team promptly.
• Ensure all lifting gear (slings, shackles, chains) is inspected and in safe working condition prior to use.
• Comply with all site safety regulations, JKKP requirements, and company SOPs at all times.
