Support the development and lead implementation of IT strategies, technology initiatives and improvement priorities aligned with business objectives.
Evaluate technology opportunities and provide recommendations to Management based on business value, cost and risk.
Oversee the reliability, performance and security of IT infrastructure, applications, networks, cloud services, APIs and system integrations.
Lead incident management, troubleshooting and root-cause analysis to minimise operational disruption and recurring issues.
Oversee system availability, backup, recovery and business continuity requirements.
Oversee business systems and applications, including ERP, POS, integrations and other digital platforms.
Manage technology vendors and partners to ensure agreed scope, deliverables, service levels and timelines are achieved.
Evaluate vendor proposals, technical solutions, quotations and system requirements and provide recommendations to Management.
Manage vendor requirements, scope and change requests to ensure alignment with approved business needs.
Oversee data flows, system interfaces and data integrity across business systems.
Support data analysis, reconciliation and validation using appropriate tools such as SQL, Excel and BI tools.
Maintain appropriate IT governance, cybersecurity, access control, risk management, change management, documentation and IT policies.
Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency through system enhancements, automation and process optimisation.
Evaluate existing systems and processes to identify inefficiencies and recommend practical improvements.
Drive initiatives that improve system reliability, data accuracy, user experience and operational effectiveness.
Lead, guide and develop the IT team by establishing performance expectations, supported by well-defined escalation processes.
Promote knowledge sharing, documentation and cross-training within the team.
Provide guidance and support for complex technical and operational issues.
Diploma or Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, System Engineering or related discipline.
Minimum 8 years of progressive IT experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership role
Proficiency in English, Chinese and Malay
Strong strategic thinking, analytical ability and problem-solving skills
Good understanding across infrastructure, systems, applications, integration, data and etc.
Experience with ERP, POS, retail systems or other multi-system business environments will be an advantage
