JOB SUMMARY
We are seeking an experienced, proactive, and results-driven Mill Manager to oversee, optimize, and lead our palm oil mill operations. The ideal candidate will combine technical expertise, strong leadership, and business acumen to maintain high productivity, uphold safety standards, and drive operational efficiency.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Set long-term and short-term operational plans to improve milling efficiency and performance.
Train, mentor, and develop a strong, competent, and cohesive operations team
Identify, analyze, and immediately resolve operational problems as they arise.
Formulate, implement, and oversee robust preventive maintenance programs.
Maintain consistently high productivity while managing and minimizing production costs.
Ensure a clean, safe, and sound working environment across all mill areas.
Optimize the utilization of resources, including labor, raw materials, and machinery.
Ensure full compliance with all relevant government regulations, safety laws, and environmental codes.
Establish, communicate, and implement mill policies, operational goals, and procedures.
Continuously review operating systems and recommend innovative methods for workflow improvement.
Uphold workplace discipline and morale, and cultivate a harmonious working culture among staff and workers.
Monitor performance metrics closely and execute effective corrective measures to address weaknesses.
Carry out any additional duties as instructed by Senior Management.
REQUIREMENTS
Education: Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, or Agricultural Engineering (or equivalent).
Certification: Must possess a valid 1st Grade Steam Engineer Certificate.
Experience: Minimum 8 years of hands‑on experience in palm oil mill management.
Track Record: Strongly result-oriented with a proven history of meeting or exceeding organizational KPIs.
Languages: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both Bahasa Malaysia and English.
Compliance Knowledge: Familiarity with RSPO, ISO QMS, and EMS standards is an added advantage.
