Job summary

Private Advertiser in Sabah, Malaysia is seeking an experienced Mill Manager to oversee palm oil mill operations, drive efficiency, and uphold safety standards. The role demands technical engineering background, strong leadership, and a track record in KPI achievement.

The candidate will lead planning, maintenance, and continuous improvement initiatives, while ensuring regulatory compliance and a cohesive, safe working environment for all staff.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, or Agricultural Engineering (or equivalent).
• Must possess a valid 1st Grade Steam Engineer Certificate.
• Minimum 8 years of hands-on palm oil mill management experience.
• Strong track record of meeting or exceeding KPIs.
• Excellent Bahasa Malaysia and English communication.

Responsibilities

• Set long-term and short-term operational plans to improve milling efficiency and performance.
• Train, mentor, and develop a strong operations team.
• Identify and resolve operational problems promptly.
• Formulate and oversee preventive maintenance programs.
• Maintain high productivity while managing production costs.
• Ensure a safe, compliant working environment across all areas.
• Optimize use of labor, materials, and machinery.
• Monitor performance metrics and implement corrective actions.
• Carry out duties as instructed by Senior Management.
