Job summary

Moby Money Sdn Bhd is seeking an energetic Merchant Acquisition Executive in Malaysia to grow our merchant portfolio. You will identify potential merchants, understand their business needs, and position Moby as a complete merchant solution partner.

You will manage the full sales cycle from lead generation to onboarding, collaborating with onboarding, operations, product and support teams to ensure a smooth merchant experience.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, Banking, IT or related field.
• Preferably 1–3 years of experience in merchant acquisition, business development or sales.
• Experience in payments/fintech is an advantage.
• Strong communication, networking and negotiation skills.
• English and Bahasa Malaysia proficiency is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Identify and acquire new merchants across SME, retail, e-commerce and other business segments.
• Generate leads through direct prospecting, referrals, networking, partnerships, events and other sales channels.
• Meet merchants to understand payment, financing and operational requirements.
• Recommend suitable Moby solutions based on each merchant's business needs and growth potential.
• Promote online and offline payment solutions including payment gateway, QR, cards and other available payment channels.
• Identify merchant financing opportunities for eligible businesses.
• Cross-sell relevant solutions including eKYC/eKYB, settlement, reconciliation and insurtech services.
• Prepare proposals, quotations and commercial offers and conduct product presentations or solution demonstrations.
• Manage the full sales cycle from lead generation and negotiation through merchant onboarding and activation.
• Work closely with onboarding, operations, product and support teams to ensure a smooth merchant experience.
