Job summary

Tong Hing Supermarkets is seeking a Merchandiser to plan, organize, and execute visual displays by category, ensuring products are showcased in a consistent, sales-driven manner aligned with the store program.

The role requires coordinating with the wholesale manager, sales and marketing teams to curate appealing layouts, manage stock levels, rotate products, and set up promotional displays and in-store tasting areas.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years in retail merchandising.
• Organizational skills to manage multiple displays and promotions.
• Attention to detail for accurate labeling and layouts.

• Familiarity with digital tools for promotions is a plus.

The Merchandiser is responsible for planning, organizing, and executing the visual display and overall presentation. This role ensures that products are effectively showcased by categories, supporting the store program. The Merchandiser collaborates closely with the wholesale manager, sales team and marketing team to curate an appealing, and sales-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities

1. Layout & Display

• Arrange product categories, ensuring clear signage and attractive presentation.
• Maintain consistent brand standards.

2. Inventory Coordination & Stock Management

• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with the sales team to replenish stock in a timely manner.
• Ensure product rotation, manage out-of-stock situations, and maintain accurate labeling.
• Assist the marketing team to set up promotional displays including digital tools, ensuring they are updated with current product.

4. Tasting Area Coordination

• Assist in setting up the in-store tasting station, ensuring proper signage, and related displays.

Qualifications & Requirements

Experience

• 1-2 years in retail merchandising.
• Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple displays, handle inventory coordination, and coordinate seasonal promotions.
• Attention to Detail: Keen eye for proper product placement, accurate labeling, and visually compelling layouts.
• Team Collaboration: Comfortable working with multiple stakeholders, i.e. wholesales manager, sales team and marketing partners to align merchandising goals.
• Digital Savvy: Familiarity or willingness to learn and embrace new technologies.

Physical Requirements

• Capable of lifting and moving stocks and standing for extended periods.
• Comfortable working in a dynamic retail environment with periods of high customer traffic.
