Job summary

Greenphyto in Malaysia seeks a Merchandiser to visit supermarkets and retail outlets to monitor shelf stock, ensure proper display according to standards, check freshness and rotate stock.

The role requires 2-3 years FMCG merchandising experience, ability to travel daily, and good communication. Reporting via WhatsApp/Excel will be used for updates. You will work independently, organize tasks, and support in-store campaigns while collaborating with sales and marketing teams.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years experience in FMCG, fresh produce, grocery, or supermarket merchandising is preferred.
• Able to travel between multiple retail outlets daily.
• Able to safely handle and move cartons and fresh produce when required as part of store merchandising duties.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Responsible, organised, and able to work independently.
• Basic ability to use WhatsApp, mobile apps, Excel, or similar tools for reporting.

Responsibilities

• Visit assigned supermarkets and retail outlets according to the agreed schedule
• Monitor shelf stock levels and replenish products from the store's backroom where applicable
• Ensure products are properly displayed, faced up, and positioned according to agreed merchandising standards
• Check product freshness, quality, packaging condition, and expiry/best-before dates
• Rotate stocks using FIFO (First-In, First-Out) and remove damaged or unsellable products promptly
• Ensure correct product labels, price tags, promotional materials, and point-of-sale displays are in place
• Monitor out-of-stock situations and inform the Sales team promptly for replenishment
• Check competitors' products, pricing, promotions, shelf positioning, and new product launches
• Take photographs of displays and submit merchandising reports after store visits
• Record stock levels, returns, wastage, and other relevant information when required
