Job summary

SV Care Clinic seeks a Medical Assistant to support doctors with patient care and clinic operations in a healthcare setting. You will greet patients, manage records, schedule visits, assist with procedures, and help maintain stock in a fast-paced clinic.

Ideal candidates hold a relevant diploma or APC, with BLS/First Aid considered an advantage. Strong communication and calmness under pressure are essential to serve diverse patients effectively.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Medical Assistant, Nursing, or an equivalent qualification recognized by the national body.
• Fresh graduates or holders of APC are acceptable.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) or First Aid certification is advantageous.
• Ability to work independently and stay calm during emergencies.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for diverse teams.

Responsibilities

• Greet and prepare patients for examination or treatment.
• Register patients and manage medical records (paper or EMR).
• Schedule appointments and coordinate patient flow.
• Prepare and submit documentation for claims where applicable.
• Monitor and manage clinic stock and supplies.
• Provide instructions to patients post-consultation.

Job description

This is a Medical Assistant position supporting doctors with patient care, clinical procedures, and clinic operations in a healthcare setting.

Key responsibilities

Greet and prepare patients for examination or treatment

Register patients and manage medical records (paper or EMR)

Schedule appointments and coordinate patient flow

Prepare and submit TPA/panel documentation for claims

Monitor and manage medical stock and clinic supplies

Provide instructions and explanations to patients post-consultation

Answer phone calls and respond to patient inquiries politely

Handle basic complaints and elevate when needed

Record patient vital signs and medical history

Assist doctors with procedures, examinations, and minor surgeries

About you

Diploma in Medical Assistant, Nursing, or equivalent (recognized by relevant national body)

Fresh Graduate or Valid Annual Practicing Certificate (APC)

Basic Life Support (BLS) or First Aid certification is an advantage

Ability to work independently and handle emergencies calmly

Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate with workers from diverse backgrounds
