Job summary

Celestica is seeking an experienced engineer to support core commodity engineering workflows while leading digital automation initiatives. You will bridge mechanical engineering, quality systems, and software development to translate complex requirements into automated tools.

The role emphasizes Python scripting, UAT, PPAP/DFM/GD&T, and overseeing intern projects, with international travel as needed to support global teams.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years in engineering, manufacturing, or technical supply chain with scripting or software automation experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist with day-to-day engineering and supplier quality workflows including PPAP/FAI and GD&T checks.
• Translate mechanical, quality, and supply chain requirements into clear logic for automated tools.
• Oversee testing, validation (UAT), and deployment of Python scripts and enterprise AI workflows across engineering teams.
• Design and conduct UAT on newly deployed AI agents to verify accuracy and reliability across datasets.
• Provide technical guidance and code reviews for software interns building automation solutions.
• Maintain documentation and tool repositories for sustainability across intern cohorts.
• Coordinate travel as project needs require
• Proactively improve tool performance and data processing pipelines.
