Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related engineering field.
• 5+ years of experience in mechanical engineering, preferably within Industrial Automation, machine building, or related sectors.
• Proficient in 2D/3D CAD software and component selection.
• Ability to translate customer requirements into practical engineering solutions.
• Experience with Siemens automation products preferred; direct engagement with industrial customers preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop mechanical systems, machinery, fixtures, and conveyors for automation equipment.
• Prepare and review 2D/3D CAD drawings, BOMs, and technical documentation.
• Select and specify appropriate mechanical/automation components.
• Analyze load, speed, precision, and machine capacity requirements.
• Collaborate with Electrical, Automation, Controls, and Sales teams on integrated solutions.
• Engage with customers to understand machine requirements and support assembly, testing, and commissioning.

Mechanical Engineer – Industrial Automation

About the role

Responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing mechanical systems and machinery for industrial automation applications. The role works closely with customers, suppliers, and electrical/automation teams to deliver technically sound and commercially viable automation solutions.

Key responsibilities

Design and develop mechanical systems, machinery, fixtures, jigs, conveyors, and automation equipment.

Prepare and review 2D/3D CAD drawings, mechanical layouts, BOMs, and technical documentation.

Select and specify appropriate mechanical and automation components based on application requirements.

Analyze requirements such as load, speed, precision, movement, and machine capacity.

Collaborate with Electrical, Automation, Controls, and Sales/Presales teams on integrated automation solutions.

Conduct technical discussions with customers to understand machine/application requirements.

Support machine assembly, testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and modification.

About you

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related engineering discipline.

5+ years of experience in mechanical engineering, preferably within Industrial Automation, Machine Builder / Special Purpose Machinery, Factory Automation, Robotics, Packaging Machinery, Material Handling / Conveyor, Semiconductor / Electronics Equipment, Manufacturing Equipment.

Proficient in 2D/3D CAD software.

Experience with mechanical component selection and system integration.

Able to understand customer requirements and translate them into practical engineering solutions.

Experience with Siemens automation products or other industrial automation brands (preferred).

Experience dealing directly with industrial customers (preferred).

Experience in technical sales, application engineering, presales, or solution engineering (preferred).
