Job summary

Celestica is seeking a Senior Lead Mechanical Engineer to architect, design, and optimize solutions for HealthTech, Industrial, Smart Energy, Aerospace, and Capital Equipment. You will work with cross-functional teams to ensure the highest industry standards and seamless product integration.

The role requires leadership in CAD modeling, simulations, and DFx reviews, plus strong collaboration with suppliers and customers to realize manufacturable, reliable designs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master degree in mechanical engineering; PhD welcomed with less industrial working experience.
• 5–10 years of direct working experience in mechanical product design.
• Experience in multi-disciplinary environments and multiple product development cycles.
• Good knowledge in industrial standards and environmental compliance.
• Fluent in English; able to work in an international team; travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Lead the architect, design and implementation of mechanical solutions across domains and markets.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, suppliers and customers to integrate mechanical systems into product architecture.
• Develop CAD models and drawings; perform design simulations and tolerance analysis; aid DFx reviews.
• Develop prototypes and conduct rigorous testing to validate concepts.
• Support technical proposals, planning and cost estimation for quoting processes.
• Design for manufacturing and quality assurance; ensure manufacturability and timely delivery.
