Job summary

Celestica in Bayan Lepas, Penang, seeks an Operations Engineering Specialist to support core commodity engineering workflows and lead digital automation initiatives.

You will bridge engineering teams and software developers, turning mechanical and quality requirements into automated solutions, and oversee deployment of Python-based tools and enterprise AI workflows across engineering teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechatronics/Mechanical/Electrical or Electronics Engineering
• 5–8 years of experience in engineering, manufacturing, or technical supply chain
• Experience with scripting or software automation projects
• Strong Python scripting and software workflow skills
• Translate complex requirements into automation tools

Responsibilities

• Support commodity engineering workflows including GD&T checks and PPAP/FAI.
• Translate mechanical and quality requirements into logic for automated tools.
• Oversee testing, validation, and deployment of internal software tools and AI workflows.
• Design and conduct UAT on AI agents across engineering datasets.
• Provide technical guidance to software interns and maintain documentation.
