Job summary

Exyte in Malaysia (Penang) seeks a Mechanical Project Engineer to oversee mechanical installation activities for semiconductor tool deployment and high-technology projects. You will coordinate mechanical and utility systems, review drawings and vendor docs, and ensure safety, quality, and schedule adherence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field required.
• HSE certifications preferred (Working at Height, Confined Space, LOTO, Hot Work or equivalent).
• Experience with mechanical and process utility systems is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, supervise, and execute mechanical installation activities for tool installation projects.
• Review drawings, specifications, P&IDs, equipment layouts, and vendor documentation.
• Coordinate interfaces with tool installation and other MEP systems.
• Supervise subcontractors and site teams; monitor manpower, materials, productivity, quality, and progress.
• Manage RFIs, technical submissions, material approvals, inspection requests, and handover documentation.
• Ensure compliance with HSE requirements, permit-to-work, LOTO, and statutory standards.
