Job summary

Vance Bioenergy Sdn Bhd in Pasir Gudang, Johor is seeking a maintenance technician to support plant operations. You will install and repair piping networks and mechanical parts across the facility, and assemble frames and bases for industrial equipment.

The ideal candidate holds a Certificate/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related field with 1–3 years of plant maintenance experience; experience in the oleochemical sector is a plus.

Qualifications

• Certificate or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related technical field.
• 1–3 years of plant/facility maintenance experience.
• Experience in the oleochemical industry is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Install and repair piping networks and mechanical parts throughout the plant.
• Build and set up frames, pipe structures, and bases for industrial machinery and equipment.
• Handle lifting and alignment of components based on drawings and blueprints.
• Examine metal components for defects and rectify them.
• Conduct general maintenance and minor repairs for factory buildings and onsite infrastructure.
• Support any additional tasks or projects assigned by the Management.

• Possess a Certificate/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field.
• 1 to 3 years of experience in plant/facility maintenance (experience in the oleochemical industry is an advantage).
• Proven hands-on skills in executing minor repairs.

Reporting Structure

• Reports to the Maintenance Executive or any senior officer as designated by the company.

Key Responsibilities

• System Maintenance: Install and repair piping networks and mechanical parts throughout the plant.
• Assembly: Build and set up frames, pipe structures, and bases for industrial machinery and equipment.
• Precision Fitting: Handle the lifting and alignment of components based on technical drawings and blueprints.
• Quality Control: Examine metal components for defects (e.g., burrs or rough edges) and rectify them immediately.
• Facility Upkeep: Conduct general maintenance and minor repairs for factory buildings and onsite infrastructure.
• Ad-hoc Duties: Support any additional tasks or projects assigned by the Management.
