NAFCO is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to design and optimize aerospace fasteners and related components. You will develop 3D models and drawings, select materials, and validate designs with stress analysis and FEA.
You will collaborate with production teams to enhance manufacturing processes such as cold heading, forging, CNC machining, heat treatment and coating while ensuring compliance with AS9100, NADCAP, ISO 9001 and customer requirements.

Design and optimize aerospace fasteners (bolts, screws, rivets, nuts, etc.) in accordance with NAS, MS,
AS, and AN standards.
Develop 3D models, engineering drawings, and technical specifications using CAD software
(e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD).
Select appropriate materials (Inconel, waspaloy, stainless steel, etc.) based on strength, durability, and
weight requirements.
Conduct stress analysis, FEA (Finite Element Analysis), and performance testing to validate designs.
Work with production teams to improve manufacturing processes, including cold heading, hot forging,
CNC machining, heat treatment, and coating.
Develop and optimize process parameters to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and ensure product quality.
Troubleshoot mechanical issues in production and recommend engineering solutions.
Ensure all mechanical components and processes comply with AS9100, NADCAP, ISO 9001, and customer-specific aerospace requirements.
