Jora Malaysia is seeking an experienced Process Engineer to develop and optimize manufacturing processes for aerospace fasteners. You will lead process parameter definition for machining, heat treatment, coating, and manage documentation and standards.

Develop, implement, and optimize manufacturing processes for aerospace fasteners, including bolts, screws, rivets, nuts, and specialty hardware.
Establish and maintain process parameters for machining, heat treatment, coating, and other manufacturing operations.
Analyze production workflows and identify opportunities to improve productivity, reduce cycle time, and minimize manufacturing costs.
Evaluate and implement process improvements to increase efficiency, quality, and throughput.
Prepare and maintain process documentation, work instructions, control plans, and manufacturing standards.
Provide daily technical support to production teams to ensure smooth manufacturing operations.
Investigate production issues and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime and scrap.
Conduct process capability studies and monitor key manufacturing performance indicators.
Support new product introduction (NPI), tooling trials, and process validation activities.
Collaborate with engineering and production teams to resolve technical and operational challenges.
Ensure manufacturing processes comply with AS9100, NADCAP, ISO 9001, and customer-specific aerospace requirements.
Participate in Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) activities related to customer complaints, defects, and non-conformances.
Support Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), Process Flow Diagrams (PFD), and Control Plan development.
Work closely with Quality teams to establish inspection criteria and process control methods.
Support internal, customer, and regulatory audits.
Collaborate with tooling and maintenance teams to improve production tooling, fixtures, and equipment performance.
Evaluate tooling life, machine capability, and equipment utilization to improve manufacturing efficiency.
Support equipment qualification, process validation, and preventive maintenance activities.
Participate in automation and smart manufacturing initiatives.
Lead and support Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kaizen, and waste reduction projects.
Drive initiatives to improve yield, reduce defects, and optimize manufacturing costs.
Analyze production data and recommend improvements based on statistical and engineering analysis.
Research and implement new manufacturing technologies, materials, and best practices.
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related field.
Minimum 3 years of experience in a Process Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or Production Engineering role.
Experience in aerospace, automotive, precision machining, metal forming, fastener manufacturing, or related industries is preferred.
Hands-on experience with manufacturing processes such as cold heading, forging, CNC machining, heat treatment, surface treatment, or assembly operations.
Strong understanding of manufacturing process development and process control.
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, SPC, FMEA, PFMEA, MSA, and Root Cause Analysis methodologies.
Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and GD&T requirements.
Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or equivalent) is an advantage.
Experience using ERP/MRP systems and manufacturing data analysis tools.
Strong knowledge of process capability studies and statistical process control techniques.
Familiarity with AS9100, NADCAP, ISO 9001, and aerospace manufacturing requirements.
Knowledge of corrective and preventive action (CAPA) processes.
Experience supporting audits and compliance activities.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Strong project management and organizational skills.
Self-motivated with a continuous improvement mindset.
Experience in aerospace fastener manufacturing.
Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or higher certification.
Experience with automation, Industry 4.0, and process digitalization projects.
Familiarity with aerospace customer requirements and special process controls.
