Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking an experienced Process Engineer to develop and optimize manufacturing processes for aerospace fasteners. You will lead process parameter definition for machining, heat treatment, coating, and manage documentation and standards.

You will support production teams, investigate issues, and participate in NPI and process validation while ensuring AS9100, NADCAP, ISO 9001 compliance. Ideal candidates have a Bachelor's degree in engineering and at least 3 years in process or

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, Aerospace Engineering, or related field.
Minimum 3 years experience in a Process Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or Production Engineering role.
Experience in aerospace, automotive, precision machining, metal forming, fastener manufacturing preferred.
Hands-on experience with manufacturing processes such as cold heading, forging, CNC machining, heat treatment, surface treatment, or assembly.

Responsibilities

Develop, optimize manufacturing processes for aerospace fasteners, including bolts, screws, rivets, nuts, and specialty hardware.
Establish and maintain process parameters for machining, heat treatment, coating, and other manufacturing operations.
Analyze production workflows and identify opportunities to improve productivity, reduce cycle time, and minimize manufacturing costs.
Evaluate and implement process improvements to increase efficiency, quality, and throughput.
Prepare and maintain process documentation, work instructions, control plans, and manufacturing standards.
Provide daily technical support to production teams to ensure smooth manufacturing operations.
Investigate production issues and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime and scrap.
Conduct process capability studies and monitor key manufacturing performance indicators.
Support new product introduction (NPI), tooling trials, and process validation activities.
Collaborate with engineering and production teams to resolve technical and operational challenges.
Ensure manufacturing processes comply with AS9100, NADCAP, ISO 9001, and customer-specific aerospace requirements.
Participate in RCCA activities related to customer complaints, defects, and non-conformances.
Support FMEA, PFD, and Control Plan development.
Work closely with Quality teams to establish inspection criteria and process control methods.
Support internal, customer, and regulatory audits.
