Job summary

Arup is seeking a Mechanical Engineer for our Property team in Malaysia. You will undertake hands-on concept and detailed mechanical design across a diverse range of property projects, including commercial, residential and mixed-use developments, delivering high-quality calculations, drawings and technical documents.

With at least 4 years in mechanical building services design, you will engage with clients and architects, develop strong relationships, and contribute to project administration

Qualifications

• Recognised tertiary qualification in Mechanical Engineering.
• Strong mechanical building services design experience.
• Experience delivering mechanical design across property/building projects.
• Knowledge of HVAC and related building services.

Responsibilities

• Undertake hands-on concept and detailed mechanical design across a diverse range of property and building projects.
• Prepare design calculations, drawings, specifications and other technical documentation.
• Manage project and team administration duties, including reports and correspondence.
• Collaborate with clients, architects and engineers to maintain strong relationships.
• Support the delivery of integrated building services solutions throughout the project lifecycle.
• Lead small project teams and implement project monitoring and control mechanisms.
• Balance technical quality with client requirements, programme and commercial considerations.
