• Familiar with engineering standards and codes.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good teamwork and communication.
• Willingness to learn under senior engineers.
• Experience with HVAC, piping, or industrial machinery preferred.

As an Assistant Mechanical Engineer, you will play a vital role in supporting the design, analysis, and implementation of mechanical engineering projects whilst working alongside experienced professionals in a collaborative environment.

What you’ll be doing

• Assisting in the design and development of mechanical systems and components using CAD software and engineering principles
• Preparing detailed technical drawings, specifications, and documentation for mechanical projects
• Assisting in the preparation of technical reports, proposals, and project documentation
• Ensuring compliance with relevant engineering standards, codes, and safety regulations throughout project delivery

What we’re looking for

• A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent qualification from an accredited institution
• Recent graduate or with 1-3 years of relevant experience in mechanical engineering, design, or related field
• Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar design tools
• Strong understanding of mechanical design principles, thermodynamics, and engineering mechanics
• Knowledge of engineering standards and codes applicable to mechanical systems
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and technical documentation preparation
• Willingness to learn and develop technical expertise under the guidance of senior engineers
• Preferred: Experience with HVAC systems, piping design, or industrial machinery
• Preferred: Professional engineering certification or undergraduate membership in a recognised engineering body
