Job summary

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering.
• 3–5 years of experience in mechanical/process design and construction.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, HVAC design tools, Ms Project and Primavera.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical codes and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Design mechanical systems such as pumping, HVAC, chilled water, plumbing and fire protection per project requirements.
• Develop P&IDs, layouts and detailed drawings using CAD software.
• Perform equipment selection, load calculations and system sizing.
• Ensure compliance with codes and client specifications.
• Support process design activities for plant construction.
• Collaborate with electrical engineers and construction teams.
• Oversee mechanical installation works and ensure quality and safety compliance.
• Troubleshoot and resolve design and on-site issues.
• Support testing, commissioning and handover of mechanical systems.
• Prepare technical documentation, specifications and progress reports.

• Design mechanical systems such as pumping system, HVAC, chilled water, plumbing,
• and fire protection in line with project requirements.
• Develop P&IDs, system layouts, and detailed drawings using CAD software.
• Perform equipment selection, load calculations, and system sizing.
• Ensure compliance with relevant codes, and client specifications.
• Support process design activities for industrial or plant-based construction.
• Collaborate with electrical engineers and construction teams.
• Oversee mechanical installation works and ensure quality and safety compliance.

Job Requirements:

• Degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering.
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in mechanical/process design and construction.
• Proficient in software knowledge in AutoCAD, Revit, and HVAC design tools, Ms
• Project/Primavera.
• Strong understanding of mechanical codes, safety standards, and process flow principles.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills
• Registered Graduate Engineer with Board of Engineer (BEM) Malaysia.
• Possess project management skill.
• Willing to travel and be posted outstation
• Self-motivated, able to work with minimum supervision.
• Able to work under pressure and tight deadlines to complete assignment.
